Welcome to North Ayrshire Women’s Aid

North Ayrshire Women’s Aid is a unique specialist service which provides emotional and practical support to women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Covid-19 – An update on North Ayrshire Women’s Aid during the current global situation.

At North Ayrshire Women’s Aid we want to assure everyone that our office is still open and we are here to support women and children experiencing domestic abuse. With the increase in the number of calls to the National Domestic Abuse Helpline at this time we are more than aware of the increasing need for domestic abuse services and as such we are available to provide the necessary support or refuge accommodation.

Please don’t hesitate to call us on 01294 602424. We are open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Out with these times you can reach us via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/nawomensaid.co.uk/, the contact form below, or call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0800 027 1234.

We know that making that first step towards getting help can be difficult. We have set up this website so that you can gain a full understanding of what we can offer you, at your own pace, and in your own home.

When you’re ready to get in touch, you can call us on 01294 602424. One of our workers will listen to you, help you think about your options, and if necessary, arrange somewhere safe for you to stay. Please do not feel embarrassed or ashamed, because you are not alone. All information you share with us is confidential unless we have any concerns about safety and risk.

Outwith office hours you can call the 24hr national helpline on: 0800 027 1234

What We Do

For Women

We support women who are currently experiencing domestic abuse as well as women who have experienced abuse in the past. There are a variety of ways that we can provide support both emotionally and practically.

For Young People

We also support children and young people who have either witnessed domestic abuse or have experienced it via a parent or a partner. We have children’s support workers to help young people recognise abuse and also process what they may have been through.

Where We Are

We have outreach services in the Garnock Valley, Irvine area, and the Three Towns area as well as in Arran and Millport. We also have refuges at various addresses around North Ayrshire.
